The University of West London is a leading modern university specialising in the education and development of exceptional creative, business and service professionals.
Academic Registry directs and leads in all matters relating to the management of academic standards across the University, working in collaboration with colleagues in the Academic Quality team to ensure staff and students are well advised on the implementation of regulations, quality assurance systems and procedures.
The Academic Registry Administrator will report directly to the Assistant Registrar working closely with other team members, to provide efficient and professional support within the Academic Registry Department. The post holder will be required to work across teams within the department which may involve travel to other sites.
The successful candidate will assist in the monitoring of School and College governance processes and procedures. He or she will have particular responsibility for supporting the mitigation and academic offences processes, updating the database of course and module documents, minute taking and report writing and query resolution. Servicing Committees and managing a varied workload is pivotal to this role.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent), have sound organisational and administrative skills, be IT literate and have excellent attention to detail. He/she should produce written work of a high standard and be able to work efficiently and professionally with both students and staff. The post holder will be expected to use their initiative and be proactive when carrying out their role. Experience of working within a higher education institution would be desirable but not essential.
