Detail information about job Research Support Administrator. Terms and conditions vacancy

The University of Bath, School of Management is ranked among the top UK business schools, with a renowned reputation for international research.

We wish to appoint a Research Support Administrator within the School of Management’s busy Research Office.

The Research Office is run by the School Research Manager, who will be the day to day line manager of the role, however, you will also receive guidance from the Associate Dean for Research. The role involves managing the School Research Committee and the various responsibilities which fall within this structure, including monitoring and supporting the activities of our eight Research Centres, managing applications from visiting researchers, taking minutes and preparing the paperwork. You will also be responsible for organising research events, writing content for the webpages and working with the Research Manager and Marketing team on video content, social meda and engagement activities.

This is a busy and varied role involving daily communication with academic staff, other School and University teams, and our Visiting Academics. We are looking for someone who is proactive and confident speaking to a variety of people, who has excellent organisational skills, who can manage their own workload and effectively prioritise and multi-task. The ability to learn quickly and to form effective working relationships in the School are also key pre-requisites of the post.

This is an exciting time to be joining the School of Management - the School is expanding and we will be moving into a new state of the art building in the next couple of years.

Informal enquiries about the post may be directed to Amanda Willmott ([email protected] or 01225386418). However please ensure that you submit your application through the University of Bath website.
