The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £32,958 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.
This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 12 months
We are seeking to employ an ambitious and experienced post-doctoral researcher with a background in bioengineering and signal processing. This interdisciplinary post, funded by King’s Health Partners, is available for 12 months commencing 1st November 2017.
The post holder will take a lead role in assessing the clinical applications of a novel mathematical method using archived human data. The outcomes of the project will form the proof of concept clinical validation of this method. We hypothesize the method will facilitate earlier diagnostic for life threatening cardiovascular disorders. The post holder will analyse patient and healthy human data using Matlab coding. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team of biomedical scientists, clinicians, mathematicians and bioengineers. It is hoped that these proof of concept clinical studies will lead to future funding/fellowship opportunities in this emerging and important research field. The position is suitable to candidates who have completed a PhD in a relevant field such as: signal processing, data science, applied mathematics or biomedical engineering.
The selection process will include a presentation and panel interview, including competency based questions
