Join the largest Further Education College in the UK as a Library Co-ordinator based at our Openshaw Campus on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis.The Manchester College is based at many sites across the city, each with its own specialist cutting edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. You will deliver a high quality library and information service which supports and facilitates learning and achievement. Manage a campus Library and/or a key aspect of the Libraries resources and services and contribute to management and continuous improvement of the cross college Library Service. Support, develop and promote the library service to all LTE Group users by communicating effectively with a wide range of customers, tutors, colleagues, suppliers and other key people.To do this successfully you'll need:Essential Educational Skills
- Level 2 English & Maths
- ACLIP (Certification) or Level 3 Certificate in Libraries, Archives and Information Services or equivalent library experience
Desirable Educational Skills
- Degree or Post Graduate qualification in librarianship/information science
Essential Previous Experience
- Experience of working in an education library or information environment
- Provision of excellent service to internal or external customers
- Ability to use IT systems
- Ability to manage a busy and diverse workload; prioritising and responding to urgent situations effectively
Desirable Previous Experience:
- Supervisory or management experience
- Working with people with diverse needs
- Working in multiple teams
