About You

You will be a successful, creative and credible senior HR professional, with the drive and determination to move our ambitious University forward. As an exceptional leader and a confident communicator you will be able to inspire, collaborate and turn ideas into action.

Experience within a unionised environment is important, as is a high level of current professional knowledge. You will be able and willing to represent Edge Hill University at national, regional and local levels, with the interpersonal skills necessary to build and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally.

If you are a forward-thinking leader who is able to deliver innovative solutions in a complex organisation with the flexibility to anticipate the future, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

Leading an effective team of HR professionals, you will support senior managers in creating a high-performing staff culture to underpin delivery of an outstanding student experience. As a member of the Directorate Management Group your work will be integral to realising the University’s future ambitions in all areas of its work.

Rewards/Benefits

Working at Edge Hill means working in a distinctly empowering environment, where culture and collaboration are valued above traditional process-driven thinking. This is a workplace where you can really make a difference.

As a senior colleague at Edge Hill University you will have access to a generous pension scheme, with optional corporate healthcare and extensive development opportunities.

About Us

“A great success story… an institution that improves and impresses year after year” – Times Higher Education.

Edge Hill is ranked Gold in the national Teaching Excellence Framework, which measures success in teaching quality, learning environment and student employability outcomes.

The Gold award – which has been given to just the top 20% of institutions in the UK and only three Universities in the North West – indicates that teaching at Edge Hill is of ‘the highest quality found in the UK.’ Edge Hill is one of the select few universities to have held the coveted UK University of the Year title, awarded by Times Higher Education (2014/15).

The University has been ranked Best University Workplace (Times Higher Education 2015), judged Best UK Employer (European Business Awards 2016) and highly commended in Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards 2017 for Workplace of the Year.

Edge Hill University offers a stimulating and rewarding environment for ambitious and high performing professionals.
