Full Time (Fixed Term 1 year)

Queen Mary University of London is one of the UK's leading research-focused higher education institutions, a member of the elite Russell Group of UK universities and ranked joint 9th in the UK in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework. The General Engineering submission from the School of Engineering and Materials Science was ranked 7th in the UK.

We seek to appoint a Lecturer in Chemical and Materials Engineering for a period of one year.

The successful applicant will be appointed to a Teaching and Scholarship role and will contribute to delivery and innovations in teaching and learning in Chemical and Materials Engineering subjects, with a particular emphasis on the development and delivery of our first- and second-year Student Centred Learning programmes in Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering.

The post is available from 25 September 2017 and is fixed-term for one year and full time. Starting salary for Lecturers will be in the range £40,865 to £43,152 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
