The School of Health Sciences is the second largest of six Schools within City, University of London, with an annual turnover of £40m. The School offers a rich portfolio of quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes which prepare students and practitioners for professional roles across a range of health disciplines.

There is a small team within the Academic Planning & Performance department whose purpose is to support the clinical placement requirement of healthcare pre-registration courses. This involves liaising with NHS and independent providers to agree a ‘bank’ of placements, and allocating student to these placements according to a set of rules- each student spends up to 60% of their time in placement.

ResponsibilitiesThe Placements Officer will work with the Placements team, NHS Trust placement partners and members of the programme team to ensure student placements are identified, allocated and audited efficiently.

A new placements management software solution has just been implemented and, alongside the rest of the placements team, the post holder will be responsible for data management and data integrity alongside suggesting improvements to its use on an ongoing basis.

Person SpecificationThe post-holder should have extensive experience within a customer service environment, ideally working with students, and a passion for enhancing stakeholder experience. Ideally you will have a good working knowledge of either the health sector and/or Higher Education.

You will be an individual who is able to work independently but also work with various internal and external partners. The ideal candidate will have experience with CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes is essential.
