The Role We are looking for a Business Analyst who enjoys working in a highly collaborative team to deliver projects that are part of an extensive programme of change taking place at the University. The team are widely recognised across the organisation for their project management and business analysis expertise, which provides a great foundation for projects we undertake in the future. We are looking for someone who enjoys this kind of environment and can make a big contribution to the continued success of the team’s work.

You will be customer focused, with experience in business analysis, and also have a good understanding of how to introduce significant change in a large organisation. You will be organised, resourceful, and an exceptional communicator, capable of working closely with colleagues across the University at all levels, up to and including the University Board.

In this interesting and varied role you will work with key stakeholders within the University to help to identify IT requirements. You will then work with developers and others delivering IT services to help to translate those requirements into new products and services. You will be expected to initiate projects, and at times to manage projects.

Key Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualifications, or proven relevant experience in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of agile project management and development practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • An understand the software development lifecycle, particularly in an agile environment.
  • Experience of business analysis in a large, complex organisation.

The salary will be within the range of £38,832 - £47,722 per year on an open contract. This is a full time position (37 hours a week) and is available immediately. A flexi-time scheme operates which allows for flexible working within operational guidelines.
