ICT Networks Technician. Full Time. Permanent.

We are seeking to appoint a highly experienced IT Networks Technician to join our Infrastructure Support Team. This post offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Networks Team which provides support for ALL IT Network / Server / Applications and Telephony services to the College.

The Networks Team is a highly technical and experienced department within the College and provides an extensive range of ICT facilities, working within an ITIL framework to support its diverse user community of over 25,000 College Learners and Staff.

Candidates must have recent experience within an enterprise network environment and hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. They should also demonstrate significant and proven technical support experience, and a desire to resolve issues to root course with a passion under minimum supervision.

If you are a highly motivated customer facing IT professional with experience of working in a busy support environment with minimal supervision then this could be the right role for you.

 The role requires a clear analytical logical approach to problem solving, good interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a diverse technical team across multiple sites is essential to the role.

The college is undergoing a complete infrastructure replacement project and experience in following technologies would be desirable 

 O365 Management

2.      VMWare

3.      Ruckus

4.      Palo Alto

5.      SCCM

Experience of the following is desirable:

1.      Software packaging

2.      SharePoint 365

3.      Configuring and managing Wireless Network Technology in an enterprise environment

4.      Blade server technologies

5.      Storage technologies - Netapp / EMC SAN
