This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement the economic components of NIHR funded Programmes for Applied Research and Health Technology Assessments and contribute to the development of the Health Economics research portfolio and teaching at the University of Manchester.
This is a full time post and you will be based in the Manchester Centre for Health Economics at the University of Manchester, working under the supervision of Professor Linda Davies. The post is tenable on a fixed term basis for 12 months in the first instance.
Your core duties will involve contributing to the design and delivery of on-going research projects in the area of economic evaluation. This will entail developing and implementing the economic components of multidisciplinary research projects and programmes, analysing the results and preparing papers for publication in high quality peer reviewed journals. The projects will include the design and analysis of economic models and economic trial data, and preference elicitation and valuation surveys.
A postgraduate qualification (or equivalent experience) in economics or health economics is essential, as is specialist knowledge in the health economics/economic evaluation discipline.
