The Research Administrator position is in the Centre for Compressor Technology, one of the two multi-disciplinary Research Centres within the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics.

We are seeking an administrator to provide an efficient and professional research support service to the Centre for Compressor Technology; working closely with funder and project partners from academic and research institutions and industry to ensure the smooth running of projects and the effective technical and financial reporting to the funder.Responsibilities

General administration for the Research Centre including mailing lists, organization of seminars, budget administration

Conference secretary for the International Conference on Compressors and their Systems held at City, University of London in September 2019. This will include organizing committee meetings, contacting delegates, management of the review process, administration of Conftool, liaising with the events team, sponsors, exhibitors, printers, suppliers (catering, logistics etc)

Administrative support for research & consultancy projects such as, support to the project coordinator, ordering, preparing and submitting project financial reports, collate periodic technical reports, assist with recruitment.Person Specification Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Problem solving skills, tact and diplomacy Good administration support experience in a professional environment Proactive attitude, work independently with minimum supervision and as a part of the team Experience on administration of research projects is desirableAdditional Information
