A leading London University is currently recruiting for a Research Finance Officer who will be responsible for both Pre and Post Award administration.
The successful candidate must have experience in Research from Higher Education.
They will perform a range of activities as follows:
- Deal with a portfolio of grants
- Set up research awards
- Prepare costings
- Negotiate contracts with external funders
- Deal with queries from big charities and stakeholders
- Prepare reconciliations, statements of income and expenditure and claims for research awards, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing
- Monitor budgets, income and expenditure on research awards and identify any significant variances
- Produce accurate and high quality financial reports for the departments they are responsible for
- Investigate and resolve complex queries and provide information for both academic departments and external funding bodies
