The project: Warwick School of Engineering is seeking a PhD student in the area of power electronics. This studentship is funded in support of a recently awarded EPSRC grant in reliability and condition monitoring of power electronics. The objective of the PhD will be to explore how innovative gate drive techniques can be used for condition monitoring of wide bandgap power devices like silicon carbide and gallium nitride devices. The PhD will involve simulation, experimental design of test rigs and characterization of discrete power devices and modules. Eligibility: UK or EU candidates with a 1st or 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent)
Funding: The annual stipend will be £14,553 (tax free), for 3 years, with all university fees paid. This scholarship is for EU/UK students only.
