The Department of Applied Health Research (DAHR) undertakes world-leading multi-disciplinary research to evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of health care and public health interventions, with particular expertise in reducing socioeconomic inequalities and evaluating health service re-organisation.
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) North Thames aims to improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities through world leading applied health research.
Professor Rosalind Raine is the Head of DAHR and the Director of NIHR CLAHRC North Thames Working as a member of the CLAHRC North Thames Research Partnership Team, the post holder will bring their qualitative and organisational research expertise to support co-design of interventions, evaluation of major service change, methodological development, evidence based implementation and teaching.
This post is available immediately and is funded until 30th September 2019 in the first instance.
The post holder must have a PhD in social science/ health services research /qualitative and organisational research or equivalent experience.
The post holder must have experience of conducting high quality qualitative and organisational research (from inception to dissemination) in NHS health care/public health and/or social care settings; including the development and evaluation of interventions to improve the quality of care and/or its safety.
The post holder must have experience in producing first author publications in world class/world leading social science and health services research journals; leading or making significant contributions to successful applications for prestigious external research funding; teaching and academic supervision at postgraduate level; presenting research to academic and non-academic audiences.
