About the opportunityThe School of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Sydney is seeking to appoint two Postdoctoral Research Associates to work on the design of wireless networks for Internet of Things. The School undertakes cutting-edge research across a wide range of engineering and information technology sub-disciplines, with focus on future energy networks, wireless engineering, computer, software and photonics engineering. 

The positions are initially available for two years, subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of additional funding, with a possible one year extension. Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment for new appointees.

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate who possesses demonstrated research experience and a publication record in at least two of the following areas: 

  • wireless communications
  • cognitive radio
  • dynamic spectrum access
  • massive MIMO
  • heterogeneous networks
  • machine learning
  • big data analytics
  • information theory 

A PhD or nearly completing in a relevant area is also required as is the ability to work in a complex and challenging environment.
