Detail information about job Policy Officer. Terms and conditions vacancy

Aldgate, London E1c.£28,000 per annum | 35 hours per week

What we do at Asthma UK really matters. The better, deeper and longer relationship we have with people with asthma and their long-term condition, the more lives we save. It’s that simple.

This role offers you a unique opportunity to make a real difference, on a massive scale, for the one in five households affected by asthma. That’s why you will need to be:

  • Passionate about health policy or life sciences policy.
  • Eager to use and develop your knowledge and skills to help make a difference to the millions of people living with a long term condition.
  • Someone who can work as part of a team, building the case for increased research into asthma.

So, if this sounds like you and you want to bring your insight, knowledge and passion into an environment where it will make a real difference, namely stopping asthma attacks and curing asthma, this is the role for you.

What does the role involve?

We believe that people with asthma need new treatments and better self-management. To achieve this, we need to secure more research funding and influence health policy decisions. Your role is central to achieving these goals. Plus, it is a brilliant opportunity to develop your career in health policy, gather new skills in research policy and influencing, and gain experience in an ambitious organisation.

This is a great place to work

We are committed to supplying the best possible experience to those who can benefit from our support, then translating this experience into financial support so we can continue to save lives. Our board and senior team are externally recognised for their commitment to digital innovation in achieving our mission.

With around 80 people, we are a tight team working together to stop asthma attacks and cure asthma. Our recent staff survey shows that alongside having a high-performance culture, Asthma UK is probably the friendliest place most people have worked, with great opportunities for development. So, if you want to make sure that data, technology and digital solutions are at the heart of asthma management, we want to hear from you.For more information and to apply please visit the Asthma UK website or click on the Apply link now!
