Salary: £49,772 to £59,400 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The School of Health Sciences (SHS) at the University of Nottingham, one of the 4 Schools in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, provides a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, sport rehabilitation and allied health professions.

The School is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Psychological Therapies (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy). The role holder will be expected to make a significant leadership impact within the School of Health Sciences and in the research and teaching area of Cognitive Behavioural and Psychological therapies.

The role holder will participate in the SHS organisation, management and strategic planning and will also contribute to the University’s strategic planning processes. They will act as principal investigator on major research projects in the field of Cognitive Behavioural and Psychological therapies and will identify opportunities for the development of new research projects.

The role holder will take responsibility for the quality of the design of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy programmes to maintain the high teaching standards and contribute generally to the development of teaching, teaching methods and assessments in the SHS.  The role may have line management responsibilities including the responsibility for the professional development of the Cognitive Behavioural and Psychological Therapies team and contribute to the overall administration of the School.

This part-time post (18 - 21.75 hours per week) is fixed-term for a period of 2 years.
