Warneford Hospital

Grade 5: £24,565 - £29,301 with a discretionary range to £32,004 p.a. (pro rata for part-time)

Following the recent establishment of the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), we are looking for a training co-ordinator to join our successful multidisciplinary team. This post is full-time, however we would consider a part-time appointment (minimum of 0.8 FTE, 29.2 hours/week) with a commensurate adjustment in the responsibilities and duties on a pro rata basis.

You will be based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital and will work alongside NIHR Oxford Health BRC colleagues within the University and the NHS.

This post is for a fixed-term for 3 years in the first instance.

The NIHR Oxford Health BRC aims to bring cutting-edge scientific discoveries to bear on the complex problems of mental disorders and dementia. You will be directly involved in helping to ensure that our staff and students are equipped with the diverse skills they require to achieve this aim. Working with the BRC Training Lead, you will collate and disseminate information about existing training schemes, as well as helping to design and implement bespoke opportunities specifically targeting skills gaps in experimental medicine studies for mental health.

The postholder will play a key role in our team, working closely with researchers and clinicians at all levels, and being the first point of contact for staff members and trainees who have queries about the training opportunities available to them. Applicants should have excellent communication skills, good attention to detail and proven organisational skills. Some knowledge of the research and/or clinical environment will be helpful.

You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement and a CV as part of your application.

The closing date for this post is 12.00 midday on Monday 11 September 2017.
