The QA Higher Education provides a range of Business, Management and IT career focused programmes, ranging from Level 3 to Level 7 where students can choose to study at one of our city centre campuses in either London or Birmingham.  The purpose built campuses provide state of the art facilities and our team of academic teaching and support staff have a real passion for all aspects of learning and development.

About The Role

As a Scheduling Administrator you will be supporting the planning & scheduling of lecturers and lecture room for all areas of our QA Higher Education to ensure all booking requirements are fulfilled. Our role is an extremely busy, involved and fast paced position. The need to be highly organised, efficient planner with good communications skills is a must.

What will you be doing?  

  • Assist with creating and inputting course schedules into the in-house system
  • Create student timetables for upcoming semester
  • Create Associate lecturers schedules for the upcoming semester
  • Assist in managing all Lecturer schedules – being responsible for the schedule management and room management.
  • Assist in ensuring adequate cover is provided for Instructor sickness and holiday requests.
  • To maintain a good working relationship with the Operations team and all other departments.
  • Maintaining in-house system with up-to-date information i.e. room changes.
  • Produce weekly Group/Room reports to show both activity and student study space in each centre the following week.
  • Create room plan for examination periods.
  • Inputting approved timesheets for monthly payroll

Your Needed Skills

  • Logical thinker who is willing to own and solve problems with the determination to find solutions.
  • Extremely pro-active.
  • Clear communication is a must as you will be dealing with multiple courses across various partners
  • Must have excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise workloads, work methodically, accurately and effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to remain calm at all times.
  • Thorough and detailed orientated.
  • Experience of working in Higher Education - Ideal but not essential
  • Able to make decisions and be accountable/responsible for them.
  • Experience working within a scheduling or timetabling or planning environment desirable
