CTU Trial Statistician (full time, fixed term for 3 years)
Salary: £25,728 to £31,604 or £32,548 to £38,833 per annum, pro rata for part-time

The primary purpose of this role is to work with a Senior Trial Statistician providing statistical support for grant funded trials within the Norwich Clinical Trials Unit, and those in development. The post holder will have extensive contact with Trial Managers, Data Managers, and Database Programmers. The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to join the NIHR East of England Research Design Service.
This post is available at either a grade 6 or grade 7 level. For appointment as CTU Statistician (grade 6), the post holder will work under the supervision and guidance of a more experienced statistician. For appointment as CTU Statistician (grade 7), the successful applicant will be required to independently carry out the majority of duties.
Applicants at either grade should have an MSc or PhD in Medical Statistics (or closely related subject) and familiarity with one or more statistical packages (SAS or Stata). To apply for the grade 7 position you should additionally have practical experience in clinical trials or related work, experience of managing a discrete analysis project, largely unsupervised and contributing to peer-reviewed publications in health-related research.
