Detail information about job KIC Partnerships Manager. Terms and conditions vacancy

The University of Reading has played a major role in winning a £340 million EU Innovation programme to change the way we eat, grow and distribute food. The project, called EIT Food, is a consortium of 50 partners from leading businesses, research centres and universities across 13 countries.

To bring together Reading’s world-leading expertise in food, nutrition, agriculture and the environment, the University has created the Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health. This new Institute will be the focal point for the University’s engagement with EIT Food, drawing on expertise from the Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences and Schools of Agriculture, Policy and Development and Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences together with broader expertise from across the University including economics and social sciences.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in maximising opportunities for Reading’s involvement with EIT Food, ensuring that the University has a clear and visible presence within the consortium. The post holder will be responsible for identifying and developing new collaboration opportunities between Reading academics and the partners within EIT Food, driving and managing engagement with businesses, research centres and universities within the consortium.

You will have:

  • A first degree in an appropriate subject.
  • Excellent skills of consultation, collaboration and influence in order to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at the highest level.
  • Understanding of effective practice in industry-academia collaboration.
  • Experience supporting development of successful funding proposals.
  • Experience developing and maintaining successful relationships with partners from different sectors.
