Main Purpose of the Post

This individual will be accountable to the Director for the aspirational leadership and development of a team of HR professionals and specialists, defining and leading outcomes which are aligned to the University’s strategic aims. They will be highly visible at a University and strategic level and role model exceptional leadership. Accountable for developing the team’s capability and insight in accordance with University’s strategic aims with regard to people performance, recruitment and development.  They will have exceptional insight into the University’s business and culture, identifying risks and opportunities providing flexible, innovative solutions that will deliver cultural change across the University to achieve its strategic plan. 

Acting with a strong sense of purpose and a dynamic vision, they will confidently advise and challenge SMT, Heads of College and Directors utilising their professional expertise. They will continually evaluate their own impact, that of their team and of the overall function in order to improve as a professional and drive sustainable performance.
