Detail information about job Senior Timetabling Officer. Terms and conditions vacancy

The Student Services Directorate are seeking to appoint a Senior Timetabling Officer to be part of the centralised timetabling team within Registry Services. The Directorate aims to provide high quality advice, guidance, and support to all our students. Comprising of a variety of areas, the service places student achievement, success, and retention at the core of its business and takes a proactive approach to student support. Registry Services is a central support department responsible for many administrative services that are provided to students and other areas of the University, including registration, student and course records, examination arrangements, results, visa compliance, timetabling, and award ceremonies.

The timetabling team will drive significant improvement in the student experience and in the more efficient use of the University estate. The University recognises that the provision of an accurate, stable timetable is a key building block to support student success and achievement. With a constrained estate then there is a key role to be played by dedicated and skilled timetabling staff.

The post-holder will oversee the collection of the key data required from faculties and its entry into the timetabling system, within the University set deadlines and in accordance with the University timetabling policy, and will work closely with colleagues in Schools and Faculties to understand the requirements of new courses or modules, and will liaise with those responsible for the approval process of both new and revised modules. They will also work closely with the wider Registry Services team to ensure that consistent systems and processes are being used across University systems which support the requirements of the timetabling process.

To discuss the role informally please contact Nikki Davies (e: [email protected], t: 01482 465980).
