We are looking to appoint a Lecturer/Associate Professor (Research and Teaching) and a Lecturer (Teaching Focused).

Salary Grade 8 (Lecturer) – £38,833 to £47,722 per annum

Salary Grade 9 (Associate Professor) - £50,618 to £56,950 per annum

Permanent contract

The Accounting Division of the University Of Leicester School Of Business is composed of a diverse group of scholars with international reputations in areas such as financial accounting, public sector accounting, capital markets research in accounting and other areas. Research in the Division ranges from theoretical to empirical and quantitative to qualitative with a strong emphasis on cross-disciplinarily. Our research often combines accounting with economic sociology, sociology of valuation and organisational theory, and includes investigations of accounting in its social and organisational contexts, management accounting systems around financial advice, accountability, governance, risk management and performance management in public sector organizations.

Among other qualities, you will have a sincere understanding of and share the School’s vision. You will be able to demonstrate your commitment to teaching excellence. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to inspire both staff and students alike.

In addition to being engaged in innovative learning and teaching, you will have an established reputation for research, with a strong record of publications (appropriate to your level of experience) in peer reviewed journals of substantial standing. You will have excellent networking skills which you use to seek out opportunities for collaboration and citizenship, both internally and externally. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to generate external funding through research grants, contracts or other sources.

Finally, you will have a track record of engaging with a range of communities related to your research and teaching interests, including external organisations.
