We are looking to appoint a Lecturer/Associate Professor (Research and Teaching) and a Lecturer (Research and Teaching)

Salary Grade 8 (Lecturer) – £38,833 to £47,722 per annum
Salary Grade 9 (Associate Professor) - £50,618 to £56,950 per annum
Permanent contract
The Economics Division of the University of Leicester School of Business is ranked 14th in the UK in the prestigious Tilburg ranking, just above Imperial College London, and was ranked 17th for economics research outputs in the 2014 REF, above Manchester and Birmingham. Our research strengths in three areas: game and decision theory, applied microeconomics and microeconometrics, and monetary policy and banking, and have received research grants and awards from a wide range of bodies including ESRC, Wellcome Trust, Inter-American Development Bank, Ministry of Justice and the French National Research Agency (ARN).
Among other qualities, you will have a sincere understanding of and share the School’s vision. You will be able to demonstrate your commitment to teaching excellence. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to inspire both staff and students alike.
In addition to being engaged in innovative learning and teaching, you will have an established reputation for research, with a strong record of publications (appropriate to your level of experience) in peer reviewed journals of substantial standing. You will have excellent networking skills which you use to seek out opportunities for collaboration and citizenship, both internally and externally. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to generate external funding through research grants, contracts or other sources.
Finally, you will have a track record of engaging with a range of communities related to your research and teaching interests, including external organisations.
