Applicants should have evidence of substantial post formal qualification experience. Applications are particularly welcomed from counsellors with a CBT qualification who also have experience of working with health care and vocational students and staff.
Location: The successful post-holder will be working mainly on one or more of the University satellite campuses- Derby, Sutton Bonington, Jubilee and on Thursday at University Park.
The University of Nottingham Counselling Service is a respected and well-used service which provides a free and confidential service for students and staff. The clinical team comprises practitioners working with a broad range of theoretical orientations. The core service offered is individual short-term counselling. Over 2200 clients attended for counselling in academic year 2016/2017. Therapeutic groups and workshops are an important and integral element of the service offered to the university community.
Key responsibilities
The post requires satisfactory completion of an enhanced DBS disclosure.
The appointment to this post will be subject to confirmation and completion of a probationary period of six months.
