We are seeking a suitably skilled applicant for the part-time position (25 hours per week) of School Caretaker. Initially this will be a fixed term position, for terms 3 and 4 of the school year. The specific start date, is negotiable.
The successful applicant will be well organised, have excellent time-management skills and the ability to work unsupervised and independently. A basic understanding of current health and safety would be an advantage.
As this position involves interaction with students and their families, a friendly and professional demeanour is essential.
The caretaker will work with the teaching and support staff to manage the cleaning and repair needs that are part of a school environment. Currently the caretaker is responsible for tasks such as lawn mowing, tree trimming, liaising with contractors, coal boiler operation, pool maintenance and liaising with the principal with regard to building maintenance and repairs.
