The Grand Millennium Hotel Auckland are seeking a qualified, hands-on and multi-skilled individual to join the Maintenance team. This is an ideal role for long term applicants.

Key Responsibilities

• In this role you will be the sole qualified electrician for the hotel
• You will also engage in regular maintenance management of the hotel including;
  • Preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations
  • Painting, plastering, gibb stopping, joinery and general maintenance activities
  • Addressing maintenance issues raised through guest complaints in a timely manner
  • Fulfil work orders in a timely manner
  • Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
  • Working in a neat and efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organised

Skills and Experience

• EST or EAS licence essential, other Professional Certifications or University training is a bonus
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physically fit
• An eye for detail
• Flexible in working a range of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays where required
• Customer service orientated with a happy and friendly disposition
• A logical and practical approach to general maintenance problems
