Our client based in Auckland New Zealand, have developed novel and patented technology for cost effective and user friendly immunodiagnostic testing of a range of diseases. With an advanced multiplexed test platform giving rapid result turnaround, the company is in advanced commercialisation stage of existing platforms, whilst concomitantly expanding into other disease diagnostic panels, based on their proprietary technology.

Currently the manufacturing & assembly of their immunodiagnostic kits is done in their Central Auckland facility and the product is shipped for selling in international market. Plans are in place to acquire a larger facility in the following months to accommodate the increase in production. They now require a highly motivated and energetic manufacturing technician to assist in the production of immunodiagnostic kits.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will carry out all the production related tasks in a very busy and ‘hands on’ role and ensure goals and objectives are met while complying with company policies/procedures and all regulatory licensing requirements.

  Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Production of ELISA slides for diagnostic kits as per the QA/QC protocols and standards.
  • Assist in stock/inventory management, reordering and replenishing materials and consumables as required for the manufacturing or R&D sites.
  • Carrying out calibration and maintenance of equipment used in production and R & D. Assist in validation of new/acquired manufacturing equipment.
  • Labelling of tubes and boxes for diagnostic kits.
  • Dispensing of reagents for diagnostic kits.
  • Assembly of diagnostic kits.
  • Dispatch of diagnostic kit batches.
  • Ensure implementation of GMP and good quality practices in manufacturing and assure compliance to regulatory standards (GMP, OSH, ISO 13485). Manage records and documentation and participation in the auditory processes.
  • Perform immunoassays, analyse associated data and prepare accurate reports from this data

Essential Skills, Knowledge, Competencies and Personal Attributes       sought are:

  • Tertiary qualification in medical, pharmacy, biomedical engineering or a science related discipline.
  • Must have prior in depth knowledge and experience in successfully operating in a highly regulated environment.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Experience in quality system processes, ISO 13485 and validation of new equipment is highly desirable.
  • Self- motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude, a team player.
  • High level of attention to detail and committed towards continuous improvement.
