We're looking for an experienced Laboratory Assistant Manager to join our Hokitika based site to lead the team within the Sampling and Physical Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- The management and leadership of the Sampling & Physical laboratory team ensuring the continuation of staff skills, training and development
- Managing day to day laboratory operational functions
- Ensuring the quality and Laboratory Certification of the Sampling & Physical laboratory
- Lab sampling and testing is recorded accurately, timely and escalated where necessary
- Share technical quality assurance (KTP) role with their senior team members
- Continuous business improvements, including various project work
Key attributes for the role:
- Tertiary qualification in Science, or demonstrated experience
- Previous experience at a Supervisory level within a laboratory environment, including current KTP accreditation
- Strong technical abilities
- Be able to work in a changing environment with a hands-on approach
- Ability to share knowledge and skills with others to mentor and evaluate effectiveness
- Strong attention to detail with a quality focus
- Excellent written and oral communication
