Pathlab Bay of Plenty is locally owned by New Zealand Pathologist who practise within our laboratories.  These laboratories are quality and people focused, helping in excess of 5,000 patients per day throughout the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Lakes areas. 

Exciting opportunity to join the Pathlab team. We are quality and people focused with locally owned by NZ Pathologists who you will be working alongside in this challenging and rewarding role.

This is your opportunity to join our team in a challenging role based in the lifestyle capital of New Zealand, the sunny Bay of Plenty, City of Tauranga! We are seeking either a general Pathologist with a strong interest in Histopathology and Cytopathology, or a specialist Anatomical Pathologist. Coronial Post Mortems are a requirement of this position so the successful candidate will need previous experience in these.

All of our Consultants report a wide range of specimens with limited subspecialisation. An interest in Gynaecological Cytology can be accommodated.

Competence in Cytopathology is an advantage but not a necessity.  Applicants are required to hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Pathologists of Australia (RCPA) or an equivalent qualification and hold or be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
