A manufacturer of high quality veterinary and human biological products, our client is NZ owned and based in South Auckland. With considerable growth over the last couple of years they now have the need for a Production Technologist to join their team in in the development and manufacture of sterile bacterial and viral vaccines. Ideally you will have some experience in fermentations, sterile manufacturing, and aseptic techniques.
As part of the production team you will be responsible for a variety of jobs and full on the job training is provided.
Responsibilities will include:
- Media and Equipment Preparation
- Virus and Cell culture
- Bacterial and fungal fermentations
- Manufacturing product and assisting with packing and filling
- Completing documentation for production batches
You will have:
- A tertiary Qualification in Biotechnology, Microbiology or similar
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role is ideal
- Working in GMP environments and sterile clean rooms advantageous
- Excellent people skills and be open minded and open to change
- Great initiative and always be proactive
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement advantageous
