This is a newly created role, one for you to grow in! We have work ready and waiting to be delivered, and we want you to develop future work opportunities as you go, maybe even grow a small team! This role can be based in either Auckland or Melbourne.
About the role:
You will carry out a wide range of asbestos related and environmental work, including building material surveys, desk studies, soil, groundwater and air sampling, preparation of management plans, remediation and clearance work for a range of our clients across the commercial, industrial and government property sector. To give you a taste of what you may get involved in, here's a few projects we have worked on recently:
- Contaminated land investigations and remediation projects at bulk fuel and chemical storage facilities.
- Asbestos remediation works for educational facilities, housing and industrial redevelopment sites including those on former closed landfills.
- Provision of asbestos in soil and contaminated land services for major roading and infrastructure projects.
- Environmental assessments of multiple timber treatment and other manufacturing industries.
You'll be part of a broader environmental team involved in air quality, ecology, hazardous substances, resource management, groundwater resource and sustainable business management.

About you:
- Tertiary qualified - Science or Environmental Engineering.
- Extensive experience in HAZMAT, asbestos air monitoring and surveying requirements and occupational hygiene practices within construction and related industries
- BOHS - P402 and P405 qualification: Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings and Management of Asbestos in Buildings or equivalent
- Experience in other environmental and/or contaminated land preferred
- Excellent client facing skills
- Reputation for delivering high quality project deliverables to tight timescales
- Demonstrated commercial acumen
- A keen interest in securing new work and developing a small team
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
