Our Laboratory Services is a leading scientific services provider that delivers a range of quality scientific services to a wide variety of customers in the water, industrial and environmental fields. We are currently looking for an Air Quality Technician who has 3+ years experience in Stack Emissions to join our team. As part of your role, you will help us collect accurate, reliable and consistent environmental monitoring data. To do so, you will use sampling systems and instruments at multiple sites throughout New Zealand.
This position focuses a lot on the monitoring of discharge Stack emissions, but also covers Odour emissions, Water quality parameters, Gas detection, Indoor Air Quality, Workplace Noise and Dust and other environmental parameters as required.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide senior expertise in discharge stack emissions testing, odour sampling, and assessment, water, air and gas quality monitoring
- Provide effective site investigations, sample planning programmes for monitoring
- Calibration and maintenance of instrumentation.
- Writing customer reports based on the data collected.
- Undertaking environmental sampling at a variety of sites across New Zealand.
- Submitting samples for analysis, calculation, and reporting of results.
Essential requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering or Electrical engineering
- At least 5 years of appropriate experience within this field of monitoring
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Stack Emissions
- Computer literacy including good Word and Excel skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel within New Zealand
- Full driving license (manual gearbox)
