The Role

As a member of our busy Laboratory team your main task will be to analyse samples of raw materials, finished goods and environmental samples whilst ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 standard.

Hours of Work - Sunday to Thursday, 11am-7.30pm

Your Responsibilities

  • Carry out microbiological testing in accurate, precise and timely manner while following approved processes, SOPs and instructions.
  • Plan and prioritise microbiological testing in order to meet KPIs for release.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot analytical instruments
  • Participate in Proficiency testing as well as monitor testing results and implement corrective/preventive actions if required.
  • Participate in laboratory internal audits as assigned and implement corrective/preventive actions on time.
  • Investigate customer complaints and enquiries and formulate responses as required.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, processes and procedures as per ISO 17025 requirements.
  • Other duties as required to fulfil the primary objective of promoting quality and food safety within Danone Nutricia NZ Laboratory

  • Proven experience in microbiological testing laboratory  including testing, calibrating and troubleshooting (previous KTP experience preferred)
  • Understanding of ISO 17025 / GLP requirements
  • Safety awareness, knowledge of Laboratory Safety Procedures and Material Data Sheets
  • Solid understanding of statistics
