If you understand property, both construction and maintenance and have the ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, this could be your next move. This role will see you responsible for supporting a portfolio of allocated properties with their general management and infrastructure projects.
The role requires you to:
- Advise and support in the management of a portfolio of schools on property matters
- Build and maintain relationships with school Boards of Trustees, principals and communities as well as professional contractors delivering to the schools
- Provide guidance in conjunction with health and safety requirements
- Work with the allocated properties to ensure compliance with Ministry requirements and grow the property management capability over time
- Work collaboratively across the team to share technical knowledge and experience with other so all portfolios are well supported and there is consistent delivery of service
- Be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of the department and gain their trust
To be successful in this role you will have:
- An interest in Property or Project Management
- An ability to be conceptual and analytical
- Skills in building strong working relationships with governance and management structures and understanding their issues
- A demonstrated ability to problem solve, plan, develop and implement initiatives to achieve positive results
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to manage relationships to a desired outcome
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation and local authority requirements affecting property management
