About the business and the role

Legal Secretary/Personal Assistant

Garth O'Brien & Associates are seeking a Legal Secretary/Personal Assistant to join their busy legal team.

The successful Applicant will need to have the following attributes

  • Previous experience in a Law Firm dealing with Litigation, Family Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law and Legal Aid
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confidence in dealing with clients
  • Have excellent time mangaement and computer skills
  • Be well organised and efficent
  • Be a team player, willing to assist other staff when required.

The hours of work are 8:30 to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday

Job tasks and responsibilities

Attend to our Prinicpal's typing of Family Court Documents, Criminal Documents , Legal Aid Applications and Billing and general typing.

Maintain files correctly

Manage Principal's diary, emails and meetings

Skills and experience

Proven time management and multi tasking 

MS office proficiency particularly Word and Outlook 

Competent typist

Ability to demonstrate diary management
