Do you have experience with assessing claims? Do you want to be part of a response team that is steadily growing in size and capability? 

Our client is seeking Claims Assessors to assist with collecting evidence and preparing claims. This will involve working within legislation and the assessment criteria in order to respond to claims within the expected time frames.

Areas of responsibility for this role are:

• Working collaboratively with a team of assessors to assess individual claims;
• Identify where further information is required and to seek any additional information from claimants required to complete the analysis of claims;
• Assessing losses by applying agreed methodologies and approaches previously used for similar claims;
• Drafting recommendations to the decision makes (including briefings and cabinet papers where required) for settling claims, and letters to claimants with proposed settlements.

You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

You will have the ability to think clearly and make decisions under pressure and manage workflows. 

Your ability to exercise judgement and act on you own initiative is essential along with your proven ability to think strategically. You will be skilled in offering advice and services to enable the delivery of strategic outcomes.
