Are you looking for an opportunity for career growth in a critical and fast-growing area of MPI? We are looking to fill a number of Compensation Claims Assessor/ Senior Assessor roles within the Compensation team.
The Compensation team was established last year in the Response Group, Readiness & Response Services to process claims resulting from current biosecurity responses. As a reasonably new team, we also need to build confidence in MPI's compensation processes for the future and ensure we are setting up rigorous workflow processes and practice.
Your purpose will be to assess claims relating to any of our current biosecurity responses. You will work to identify the timeline of events relating to the response, collect evidence and work with other key team members to evaluate criteria and prepare robust and sound claim assessments. Key relationships will be both internal and external stakeholders, legislation and finance advisors. A crucial part of the role will be managing relationships and working collaboratively. You'll be part of a supportive and dynamic team who will be liaising with Response and other business areas within MPI. You will also be well supported by team management, reporting directly to your Team Leader and the Compensation Manager.
This role will suit you if you can demonstrate sound problem-solving, communication and analytical skills, with a high level of verbal and written communication. You will also be a quick learner with experience delivering quality work within deadlines and under pressure. A high level of personal resilience, ownership of planning/ prioritisation and initiative is required to be successful in this role. We are looking for team players who are keen to widen their experience in MPI.
In addition to role-modelling the above skills, senior assessors should have demonstrated experience in a similar field (3-4 years) and an ability to take a key coaching/ mentoring role to support the wider team. This will assist the team leaders in ensuring all team members are working effectively and efficiently.
These are great learning opportunities, with a mix of experienced staff to learn from and work with. We are keen to hear from anyone who is interested and are open to receiving applications from all areas of MPI.
We are looking for people to start as soon as possible, salary will depend on skills and experience.
