At Ando, we’re taking a fresh approach to the way insurance works in New Zealand. We’re looking for a highly motivated Commercial Underwriter ready for the great leap forward to join our hard-working and fast-growing team.
  
You’ll have two to three years’ experience within commercial lines products, and have a strong understanding of the New Zealand market and emerging trends. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills with the ability to engage well with internal referral points. Working closely with the BDM’s, you’ll be involved in new business, renewals and endorsements from day-to-day, while strengthening relationships with intermediaries.
  
Helping our business grow and succeed in a challenging and changing environment, you’ll be:

• Ensuring all risks are underwritten and accepted within authorised limits
• managing a small portfolio of new business and ensuring the renewal of business
• instrumental in process improvement
• monitoring and analysing trends across renewals and claims.
• Achieving high levels of quote conversion whilst maintaining turnaround time SLAs.
