We’re looking for a rising star to join our performance-driven Southern team, based in the heart of Dunedin.
Abbott Insurance Brokers is part of the Abbott group of companies, specializing in all aspects of risk analysis, insurance and claims management for businesses nationwide.
Our considerable growth over 35 years is almost entirely referral based. We pride ourselves on the strength of our client relationships, our expertise and knowledge, and our commitment to being our clients’ advocate when they need us.
Our Southern branch opened in 2015 and services Otago, the Lakes District, and Southland. Our commitment to the region recognizes the significant opportunity for a relationship-based brokerage in the South.
We need a self-starter – someone who can both self-direct and work collaboratively as part of a small, tight-knit team.
The ideal applicant will have experience in the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of commercial, rural and domestic brokering. You must really enjoy working with a range of clients from niche start-ups to large manufacturers, and from the city to the farm gate.
You will be absolutely committed to providing and maintaining a client-focussed experience, and be able to comfortably interact with all clients and business partners at varying levels. Strong communication, relationship and sales skills are essential.
There are significant advancement opportunities for the right person. Prove yourself and learn the Abbott ropes under the guidance of our branch manager and senior broker, and the expectation is you’ll be looking after your own clients as one of our brokers.
