The position

We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual who will bring passion, enthusiasm and commitment to this important claims management role.  As next level support, you will be responsible for providing essential information and assistance to ensure the smooth and accurate processing of general insurance claims.  To be successful in this role you will maintain excellent customer relationships, have high-quality communication skills and ‘second-to-none’ attention to detail.

We are looking for someone who loves to work as part of a team, is reliable, punctual and has a friendly and engaging personal style. To be successful in this role you will need a strong focus on attention to detail and delivery of agreed tasks, as well as being customer focussed. 

You will need to be able to commit to 37.5 hours per week for a contracted period of six months to assist us with end-to-end claims management.  There is a potential for this assignment to extended or be made permanent dependant on our Clients need.  Each day will be varied, fast-paced environment, bustling with people and projects and challenges.

In this role, you will make an impact by:

  • Managing a portfolio of claims, and providing end-to- end claims management

  • Bridling, developing and maintaining professional relationships with the Client, suppliers and the customer

  • Settling claims within client service instructions, company guidelines and delegated authority

  • Attending client meetings where applicable

  • Preparing Standard Client Reports within Service Instructions as required

  • Achieve monthly productivity level as designated by management

  • Comply with relevant legislation such as The General Insurance Code of Practice, and other relevant legislation / regulations and policy requirements

  • Amongst other duties.

What we are looking for:

  • Ideally, at least 12 months’ insurance industry within a similar claims related role

  • General Insurance experience will be advantageous

  • You will be familiar with process improvement and have a strong background in customer service

  • Fantastic communication skills, allowing you to build an easy rapport with customers and your colleagues

  • Great time management where you can demonstrate you can juggle multiple priorities with ease

  • Be computer and systems savvy

  • Positive and hard-working attitude
