STOP is a specialist provider of high quality community-based intervention for adolescents and children who have exhibited harmful or concerning sexualised behaviour. Our services make a difference in the lives of children, young people and their families.

Due to expansion within our Dunedin services, we are seeking to employ a highly motivated professional for this 32 hours per week position at our Adolescent and Children's Service based in Dunedin.  The role involves therapy with the adolescent or child in the context of their family, work with the school and with other community agencies involved.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes, skills and experience:

  • Be a passionate advocate for the safety and wellbeing of children and adolescents
  • Have proven therapeutic experience and skills in clinical work with children and/or adolescents
  • Experience in working along-side and supporting families in stressful situations
  • A recognised qualification in child psychotherapy, psychology, social work, counselling, family therapy or equivalent
  • A commitment to being part of a supportive and dynamic interdisciplinary team
  • Some experience of working with issues related to trauma and attachment is preferable
