Waking Night Residential Support Workers - Mental Health Services
Connect Supporting Recovery is an established NGO providing recovery focused mental health care service throughout Auckland and Hamilton, with $8million revenues and full time staff numbers of 140.
A long, strong history of successful growth has resulted in 5 residential and respite facilities, several mobile community teams, assisted employment and housing agencies. There is a mix of peer-led, non-peer, dual diagnosis and collaborative services, including a fledgling but vibrant social enterprise.
An opportunity currently exists for awake staff at our West Auckland Residential service, Poutama. The hours of work will be 23:00 – 07:00, two-days a week. We’d love to hear from those who can comfortably demonstrate:
- A client-centred, recovery focused approach.
- Insight to know when and how to engage with Whanau.
- Experience, instinct and decency to be appropriately culturally sensitive.
- Mountains of empathy with a few peaks of resilience and firmness.
- A full driver’s licence.
- Level 4 or equivalent qualification
Applicants must share the teams’ deep belief in holistic, face-to-face, participative and highly inventive recovery based approaches. A sense of fun, team spirit and openness will complement a fine balance of positivity and pragmatism.
