About the Role
We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to cover our nursing services in the Taranaki Region. You will have your own case load of clients with short to long term care needs, primarily those recovering from illness or injury, older adult or disability (predominantly spinal cord or traumatic brain injury).
Key Responsibilities include:
- On-site development of Service Plans, including house-hold management, personal cares, manual handling and pressure areas
- Risk assessment and management
- Creating medical plans and community linkages
- Coordination and evaluation of care on an ongoing basis
- Direct nursing care in wound and catheter management

Our requirements are
- A Registered Nurse with current APC and New Zealand experience
- Preferably up to five years post-graduate experience including two in the community, primary health, rehabilitation, disability or aged care sector
- Wound and catheter care experience
- Great communication and interpersonal skills - we value people skills and a passion for making a difference
- Proven skills in health assessment, planning and goal setting
- A commitment to quality
- A full Driver’s License
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and the aged care/disability sector to maximise health outcomes and goal achievements for client’s and their families.
- Confidence in managing IT applications and the ability to report regularly on services provided and outcomes achieved.
