Odyssey supports people to change their lives through the delivery of high quality, comprehensive community and residential services for people experiencing mental health issues and/or an addiction to alcohol, others drugs or gambling. 

Odyssey is partnered with Higher Ground and the Salvation Army to provide addiction treatment services to the Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment Court (AODTC) based in the Auckland and Waitakere District Courts.

We now seek a full time permanent Case Manager to work for the AODTC. You will be employed by Odyssey and coordinate specialist AOD treatment services to ensure the best possible outcomes for participants of this exciting and ground breaking programme. 

You will join an enthusiastic, hardworking and professional team dedicated to supporting our participants along their journey. As Case Manager you will work closely with peer support colleagues and others members of this multi-disciplinary team including the AODTC judges, court coordinators, police, lawyers and treatment providers. Your assessment, engagement, treatment planning, brief intervention and organisational skills will be an asset in this fulfilling role.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant health qualification in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), social work or mental health
  • Registration with a professional body or be willing to work towards DAPAANZ registration.
  • An awareness of tikanga Maori and its importance within this context
  • Experience working in the AOD/mental health field
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn about court processes and systems A strong ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
  • Excellent clinical judgement and strong clinical boundaries
  • Sound report writing skills and computer proficiency
  • A passion for supporting people with substance use disorders in making far-reaching changes in their lives.

You will be working with three of New Zealand’s most experienced addiction treatment providers at the cutting edge of addictions treatment.
