We are seeking to appoint two full-time Lecturers to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate teaching in Psychology. The School of Psychology is currently in a rebuilding phase. The School offers a broad undergraduate education in Psychology, with a range of specialised programmes at graduate level, including Masters and PhD degrees and several programmes that lead to registration as a professional Psychologist. Areas include Behaviour Analysis, Clinical Psychology, Community Psychology, Organisational Psychology, Social Psychology, Applied Cognitive Psychology, Forensic Psychology and Kaupapa Maori Psychology.
We are seeking to appoint two full-time Lecturers to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate teaching in Psychology. The area of research specialisation is open but applicants who can contribute to teaching and research in one or more of the following are particularly welcome: Quantitative research methods and statistics, Kaupapa Māori, and/or Community Psychology.
Applicants should have obtained a research-based doctoral degree in Psychology, and have teaching experience and a good record of research and publications. The preferred commencement date for these positions is January 2019.
Current salary range for Lecturers is NZ$74,034 to $89,163 per year dependent on qualifications and experience. Note - the rank of Lecturer in the New Zealand university system is equivalent to the rank of Assistant Professor in the North American and some other systems.
