We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the civil team on our Joint Venture Transmission Gully Project. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will have recent experience on large road infrastructure projects and will be a key leader in the engineering team.
Responsibilities include (although not limited to)
- Support a culture of "Zero Harm", through compliance with all Company SH&E policies and procedures
- Managing the effective set-up, delivery and completion of the project including establishing relevant systems
- Managing and monitoring the completion of the project to ensure programme, budget, quality, environmental and contractual obligations are achieved and taking prompt corrective action where required
- Measuring, recording and reporting on progress against program in allocated work packages
- Reviewing and authorising design and construction plans, schedules, temporary works designs, method statements and job safety analysis
- Ensuring the project is adequately resourced to deliver project requirements in the with the programme and contractual agreements
- Actively liaising with the client to ensure they are kept up to date and their ongoing satisfaction throughout the delivery of the project
The ideal applicant will have;
- A Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree
- Significant civil construction experience
- Manage self and team within discipline to deliver work between $10M and $50M
- Developing methodologies to ensure compliance
- Demonstrated commercial experience to include planning up to 3 months ahead, weekly reporting on progress against plan and cost, reporting on risk and developing and implementing risk treatment plans
- Development of SHEQ process and procedures and managing others in conducting SHEQ process and procedures
- Planning & Organising
- Analytical and strategic thinking
- Conflict and Relationship management with strong communication skills
- Sound commercial focus / business acumen
