This role is with a leading global manufacturer with an R&D bent who make many and varied chemical products. They needs a competent Process Automation Engineer who has demonstrated Manufacturing Plant based experience in Controls and Instrumentation, across Projects, Operations, and Maintenance.
  
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for providing Instrumentation and Automation expertise including the development, implementation, and maintenance of plant control systems and Instrumentation. 
  
Key Responsibilities

• Process control system design and instrumentation procurement
• Technical Site Support: Installation/Commissioning, Operational, and Maintenance
• Coordinate and manage electrical and automation contractors
• Creation of relevant automation drawings and documentation
• Strategically Track process data: controls and instrumentation
• Use Plant Computerized Maintenance Management System
• EH&S compliance with standards and liaison with regulatory bodies 

Key Skills Attributes & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
• Project Management experience
• Relevant Control System Experience especially DCS and preferably with Emerson Delta V
• Sound Knowledge of a manufacturing environment
• Chemical industry operational experience preferred
• Experience working in a demanding environment juggling multiple priorities that require initiative, flexibility, and adaptability
• Microsoft Office proficiency and ability to learn plant specific software
• Experience with SAP or CMMS systems for Plant Maintenance preferable
