The Role

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Acoustic Engineer to join our Consulting and Technology practice and lead our talented team of acousticians.

As part of a multi-disciplinary organisation, this role will not only offer you the opportunity to work alongside our fantastic team of acoustic specialists, both locally and across ANZ on standalone acoustics projects, but will also enable you to collaborate with the wider AECOM network, including Mechanical, Environmental and Transportation disciplines, giving you a broad exposure to a multitude of world-class projects.

The role contributes to the winning, management, strategic direction and delivery of moderate to large scale acoustic projects.  It is responsible for the management of resources, budgets and timelines and enhancing client and working relationships. This role will assist with business development, leading and preparing proposals and include presentations to clients to win work.  Mentoring and developing the acoustic team in Auckland, and interacting with the wider AECOM acoustic team in the ANZ region.

About You

This role will suit a professional lead who has demonstrated experience in delivering acoustic projects and meeting delivery requirements and who has successfully lead multi staff projects. It is essential to have strong oral and written communication skills, report writing, development of proposals. The ability to demonstrate commercial acumen and the ability to develop relationships is a must. Proven results in building client relationships and business development skills alongside a strong sense of commitment, an eagerness to work and grow in a dynamic team environment.

  • 10+ years' relevant professional experience
  • Tertiary Qualification (Bachelor of Engineering or Science)
  • Experience working within a consulting environment
  • Experience leading and running acoustic engineering components of major projects
